Who runs this site

Ontario Downsizing is a downsizing information resource operated by real estate professionals affiliated with eXp Realty. The Site itself is not a real estate brokerage, does not represent buyers or sellers and does not list, show, negotiate or sell property. Real estate services are provided by the registered brokerage and its registered salespeople and brokers.

How messages work

When you email us, your message goes to an agent on our team at eXp Realty. That agent and the brokerage are responsible for the real estate services they provide, and any agreement you sign is between you and them.

Because replies come from colleagues on our own team, this is not a search of every agent in the Ontario market. You are free to work with any agent you choose.

How we are paid

Contacting us costs nothing. Our team is paid a commission in the ordinary way when a transaction closes, and commissions are negotiable between you and the brokerage. Because the agents who reply are colleagues on our own team, we have an interest in any resulting transaction. We say so plainly so you can weigh it.

General information only

Articles, checklists and community descriptions on this site are general information. They are not legal, tax, financial, insurance or real estate advice. Tax rates, rebates, income limits, deadlines and program rules change, often every year. Always confirm with the official source and a qualified lawyer, accountant or other professional. Dollar amounts are in Canadian dollars unless stated.

Descriptions of cities, neighbourhoods and communities are based on publicly available information and describe housing and amenities only. Availability, rules, fees and features change. Contact each municipality, community or condominium corporation directly.

Equal treatment

We respond to every visitor without regard to any ground protected by Ontario's Human Rights Code. Pages on this site describe housing and amenities, not who should live there. Some communities set age rules for residents. Ask the operator how its rules work.

Links to other sites

We link to government bodies, non-profits and businesses that are not affiliated with Ontario Downsizing or eXp Realty. A link does not mean they endorse us or that we endorse them.
